Yeas I think it is cheal, 2 self tapping screws to indents in the plastic bumber??? Ugggg.

Since they are there and if I remove it I have to deal with the holes.... anyone know of a quick way to cover that up if you dont need the front tag? Like maybe one of those chrome pieces? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Some folks here have used small plastic hole plugs from the Home Depot or Radio Shack, pop them in the holes and touch them up with some matching paint. You'll still have the holes but they'll be a lot less visible.

Just a word of advice - the original plastic front license bracket is designed to be held on with four fasteners, two moderately close together just below the horizontal centerline, then two more towards the top outer corners. The bumper/fascia is just moderately thin flexible plastic in these areas, with no real backing material for strength. If you just use some screws, they are likely to strip the bumper material easily, or even if you succeed at not stripping it, they won't be very tight and could easily work loose. That's why the original bracket ships with 4 pop rivets to fasten it to the bumper.

Having said that, I HAVE hung a front plate on an '03 Impala that had similar bumper material using just a couple of black drywall screws. The threads didn't go all the way up the shank, so once I ran them in all the way, they probably weren't going to (and in 6 years, didn't) back out on their own. They could, however have been very easily PULLED out.

I think the best method for covering/capping/hiding any holes later on would be along the lines mentioned above. color match some plastic caps that fit in the holes. You would still see them, but they would look nicer than raw holes in the bumper.

I filled them and used Dr. ColorChip to match color. Can still find them if you try. A Colgan bra would cover them.
