Thumbs down Caught the cat.......

I live in an apartment complex.

Well I borrowed a cat trap and caught her sometime last night. This morning I get a knock on my door and its the female owner telling me that she hears her cat crying from my backyard (area). I tell her I will release the cat, this time, but I will continue to set the trap and then the cat will be gone. She tells me that the cat is de-clawed (in the front). I remind her that the cat still has rear claws, and her response is that she'll have the rear de-clawed next paycheck. At this point I am trying to avoid being rude, so I tell her even if the cat has no claws, she will still track her dirty paws all over my BRAND-NEW car, daily. This is where I get pissed, she asks me, "what's the big deal about a few paw prints?" I reply, why can't the cat STAY inside? She says because when they lock her in the cat goes nuts (not my problem!!).

I think I have covered my bases on this one. My only concern now is if I catch and dump the cat, I worry about them vandalizing my HHR (tires, paint, etc) because they'll know its me.

So, for the time being I am going to buy a car cover. I wash the car every afternoon, so dirt build up won't be an issue. However, I went to the local Pep-Boys yesterday and the size chart doesn't have the HHR listed (big suprise), so I look under for a PT because they are close in size, and they aren't listed either.

Does anyone have an actual part number or correct size?

Thanks!!

Sounds like your neighbor is a real "Dumbbell' to have her cat declawed and then let it roam around outside. How is it supposed to climb a tree or protect itself! Our cats are declawed and are strictly kept inside. I've learned the hard way over the years thats the safest place for them. Keeps them safe from both 4 legged, (and 2 legged ) enemies.

Remind the cat owner that allthough they are just paw prints, in those prints are carried dust, dirt and perhaps other debris between the animals paw pads. Which in turn, grinds that crude into your cars finish and cause scratches. If you had wanted these imperfections in your car finish, you would have bought it that was allready!
You will see this when you do a wax jobbie.
