I had one dodge that was one to many, and I can tell you that the pt in front of cruiserer stands for part time. they spend more time in the shop then on the road.

Wow, I can't believe I have never seen this thread before! I would never have considered a PT Loser when shopping around for a car. I don't necessarily hate the front end that much, but I can't stand the fact that the back end is a 45-degree angle and I also don't like the way the tail lights look. Plus the PT Loser's roof is significantly higher in the back than in the front; it looks way too sloped in my opinion. The appearance of it is basically what I hate the most; I don't necessarily hate Dodges, but I do hate Fords.

People be hating on us HHR owners cuz we know we got the right one over their P.O.S. Pt. Loo-sahs. I sat in a Pt Crzr as a 6'2" 259lb guy, I couldn't do it. Sat behind the wheel of my HHR and it was like destiny! I fit like a glove and we understand each other perfectly. The only thing I need to do now is get the SS appearance kit from GM and paint match it/have it installed.*sigh*

I never considered a PT and never would. My SS replaced a Dodge Ram quad cab and a Honda S2000. It doesn't carry or pull as much as the Dodge and it doesn't give me the open air and pure sports car pleasure of the S2000, but it's a pretty decent package of good carrying ability, fun to drive, and decent gas mileage that the PT couldn't come close to.

PT cruisers where never a consideration for me, but my aunt and uncle had one and the thing fell apart after about 50k miles, and the rear brakes squeeled off the SHOWROOM floor..well it took about 100 miles. Dealer never could get it fixed, after spending more time in the shop than on the road, hey dumped it finally.

Shame they didn't go with an HHR first.

Don't forget the PT and the HHR were designed by the same person, Brian Nesbitt if I remember correctly.

And my HHR was purchased in 2005

I like the door handles on the PT. They look like the ones on my '64 Bel Air.
