ChevyHHRWorld Stubby Antenna

I installed mine last night, and it's very nice. Surprizingly good reception, maybe better than the stock fishing pole. Worth the $12 I paid.

the stubby was the first thing i did, i love it. However i haven't used the regular radio with it, so i don't know about the reception... xm or the ipod all the time.

I have heard that some of the stubbies are better that others. Any opinions?

I got the same antenna... Liked it at first--good reception on AM "talk"/news stations.. Good reception on local FM (strong signal)...

But a couple of stations I listen to are in L.A.--about 75 miles away (powerful stations)... The Stubby won't capture them without static.. the Standard antenna brings them in A-OK...

Good thing I can switch antennas so quickly without tools!!

Are stubbies better than chubbies?

I have the same experience, most come in fine, but a couple don't work until I top the hill about a mile from my house...gives me a chance for some morning "meditation" before I make it close enough to work to hear the noise.

Old one worked fine, but I like the stubby enough that I never bother to change it...keep the old in the back just in case
