I removed the double stick tape/suction cup mount, trimmed the base to fit perfectly, then silicone glued it to my all ready crowded overhead panal. Works great for both purposes. (Also on the panal are map light and 12 volt socket for radar detector). I needed to add screws due to the added weight.

Interesting looking piece of equipment. Sure is alot of stuff up there.

The 12 volt socket prevents the long dangling cord from the windshield to the cigarette lighter when I use my radar detector. Much neater and cleaner. And the map light is much more useful than the stupid ones on the mirror. (From a early 70's Mercury Capri)
