Clicking Noise Coming From Driver's Side

Does anyone else have a problem with a clicking noise that happens around 55 miles an hour coming from the drivers side of the car? It is really bothering me. The car is nice and quiet and then click, click, click , click. I know this isn't the best description but I haven't read anything that sounds like what has been happening to my car.

I know that in my tiburon I had a clicking noise and it was the axle. had the drivers side replaced once and the passenger twice. The dealer dosen't know that I race it all the time.

If it's happening at 55 it's prob not an axle.

It is weird, I don't feel anything while driving. It almost makes me think it is in the door. But from what I read the doors have sound proofing in them of some sort.

Well they where clicking from start off and stopping and anytime I changed speed. I think the Tib has more torque than the HHR.

I would agree with you there. Usually the CV joint on the axle is what goes. They get real noisy when you are accelerating, especialy when turning.

I don't know. The last thing I need is to be taking a one week old car back to the dealer for service. I think I am going to go snooping around the car for a bit. Maybe something will show its ugly head.

Thanks for the help!

What does the sound do above 55? Does it get louder, does the clicking get faster, does it stop?

It comes and goes. Very strange. I have had a bad CV joint and you can feel it when you turn. This is just me going down the road and get up some speed and click, click, click.
