a common occurance of HHR buyers

Taking delivery from dealer inventory = 0% financing. I couldn't pass it up. Unfortunately, my dealer had Sandstone and a lot of dark colors. I could have gone to the dealer in the next town and got a white one but I had several white cars and was tired of that color. I like the Sandstone now. It would have looked outstanding with dark brown leather interior!

I've wanted one since they first came out. When I finally made the decision to get one, and the timing was right, I went out to look at them. Didn't have a color in mind -- other than NOT orange (just not my style). Parked at the first dealership and the salesman took me out to where the HHRs were parked. There it sat -- it grabbed my attention as soon as I saw it. I'd never seen the color before. I figured the color was so cool, that Murphy's law would say it wasn't an LT or really didn't have the equipment I wanted. WRONG! I was very happy with how it was equipped. I checked out a few more LT's, but nothing came close to my first choice. After a very irritating session with the dealership, I drove home in my Golden Teal 1LT. The pleasure of my new ride immediately blocked out the pain of making the deal.

I told my dealer just what I wanted and he found me one and went and brought it back for me. I knew what I wanted and would not have bought one until I found just what I wanted. I will have it for a long time so would not settle for less than all I wanted.

I wanted SOM 2LT, leather, onstar, sunroof 5spd. I happened to be on the lot, mine was 14,000 cheaper than what I was going to order, but had auto and no leather, onstar sunroof...
For 14,000... I'll make the sacrifice :)

Actually was after a Chry 300..pulled into the right dealer..but the wrong lot. Gotta love dealers who sell more then one brand,,, Anways, since I was there, I looked around,,saw it..had to have it 'course, momma had a say in it too.. It was the right color..goes with the 01 Indigo Blue Sunfire and the 06 Cobalt Blue Harley....but, ( always a but!) , still undecided about the wood side...sorta puts a damper on some really serious mods...but I'll still do what i can....:twothumbs

We found ours on the net. I wasn't too picky on color but didn't want too much beyond the LT1 range. I like to add things to get that signature that makes it mine. Silver is my favorite and it happened to be the color that was available. The wife only went to "look" but I knew that it was pretty mich a done deal as soon as hse drove the thing. Anyway we got a super deal since it was the last day of the month and the end of the year. I haven't been able to get her out of it. She swears that it is the best car she ever owned.

I wasn't really too concerned about color, but every salesman I've dealt with seems to think it is important, and always worked to find my first choice, even though I always give them three or four. Every new car I've bought has been a dealer trade (i.e., they get one in the way I want it).
My first car ever was blue - then a white one, another white one, then a gray one, then a dark red one, then a dark bronze one, then a light bronze one, then a blue one...quite a bland pattern if I do so say myself. The only time I came close to a non-neutral color was the dark red...so this time, I wanted Orange if possible, but if not, then maybe a white one, or a blue one, or a red one...
Just picked up my SOM one today!
