Question Conceal Carry in HHR

A question for anyone with experience:
How do (or "would" for any who dont want to specifically divulge) you lock up your hangduns when they are left in the HHR (i.e. going into the bank, places that you can't CC but brought it with you)? I don't like not having a locking glove box or secure storage and would prefer not to leave it in the open or exposed when I am away from my car. In general I dont want to install an underseat safe or anything, but I more so don't want my gun stolen. Also I don't plan on storing it in the car for any extended period of time.

Anyone who has experience, your opinions would be great!

P.S. I didn't post this to get a "guns are bad" lecture, I have heard enough of those. Remember, if you don't have anything helpful to say, don't say anything at all.

To be safe, you should install a lock box. There is no safe place to hide a gun in a car. A thief probably knows more spaces than you do.

I agree with Solman on this one. I think the problem may be getting something under the front seat. The only real room for a true gun vault may be the spare tire area.

I used to carry a gun for protection when I was a part time courier. I used to schedule my bank trips, etc. so I wouldn't be carrying the gun while I ran my personal errands.

+1 No place to safely secure a handgun in a vehicle unless it is in a lock box. I haven't found a suitable place to store one in any car unless it was locked in a box in my trunk

This is probally the only place safe and big enough. I dont think under the front seat would work to tight under there. Only problem with the spare tire area is someone seeing you place it into that spot since you would be standing out in the open.
Not sure what type of gun, but maybe make something that fits in the little storage bins behind the back seats

You could use the cable/gun lock that comes with most guns and run it throught the trigger guard and the seat frame. The gun should be hidden under the seat, and if any body sees it they will have a hard time removing it.
