magnet under the dash works for me. outta sight.
also I used to carry my backup .380 inside a large atlas/roadmap inside the map holder net behind the passenger seat..I could reach it, and no one is going to look inside a map/atlas...who wants to steal a map?

Everyplace you "think" is safe, a good crook has already been there. Locked up is the only "safe" alternative.

I had forgotten about this thread. Several of us are going to get our CCP this winter. Can a women carry her gun in her purse? I think my CC is going to be a Lady Smith 357/38. And I hadn't really thought about where to put it in the HHR. I have a friend who wants to carry "The Judge" by Taraus... told her I didn't have a purse that big...LOL

I tend to do the drive up thing at the bank when I am packing, other times i just put it under front seat,, or in my back pack... no longer than Im in the bank or where ever it hasn't been a problem... We just got back from vaction and crossing state lines and not familiar with all the states we crossed I didn't carry on me much.... I did however have the 9mm under my seat in back pack.. we were in the mini van and that thing has so many cubby holes you could lose sherman tank.
I wish the hhr had put the emergency brake over on the floor board where it belongs and given us a decent spot for storage...
it would be cool if ther seats had flip up cusions like boats do so you store a hand gun or maybe something like cd's...

In Ohio, stores can put up signs saying no guns are allowed inside. Along with, required by law, no smoking sign with phone number for violations. but thats another thread

Those signs are not enforcable by law(at least here in Georgia). If you are stupid enought to let them see your gun, then they can ask you to leave. If you do not do so, then you can be arrested for trespassing.
