Had the chance to pick this one up before I made my order. I liked the looks of it from the outside but not the view out from the inside.

Love the look of that! I would have gotten one of those if it was available in 08. Anyone know if you can convert a regular one to a half panel?

I've seen them for PT's but they don't look good, but not for the HHR

The auto parts store in my town used to have a 2006 HHR that they converted into a panel...but I just can't remember where I saw those kits at....

If I think of it I'll let you know, unless someone else thinks of it first...

i bought an 09 half panel and made my own panel conversion i spose u could call it... i removed the stock doors and replaced them with doors from a panel vehicle that met its untimely demise in the bone yard... i really think that chevy should have offered this as an option cause it definately has some awesome potential to see a full panel opened up with seats and all the accomodations for passengers

before i knew the "AA5" code, i called it a half panel and 8 of the 9 dealerships had absolutely no clue as to what i was talking about (this was in september 08) till i ran across a picture of one online, printed it and brought it in-- BLAM SOLD ^_^

great thing about having 2 sets of rear doors is that in a matter of about an hour and a half, i can have the security of a full panel, or the comfort of having rear door windows ^_^

turned into this:

the big bird in the background i think is one of those international pickup trucks. essentially a semi with seats for the sleeper and a truck bed for the hitch. i think. couldnt tell ya without a closer look.
