I'm in the process of making my '06 lt into a half-panel, I'll be posting pictures and a "how I did it" in the How-to Section in a few weeks.

I fell in love with the panel when I saw it from the outside. I hated it when I tried the view from the inside. I'm thinking about maybe getting wraps or whateverthey'recalled put over the windows to cover up the windows (but can still see out of them)...

That's definately a good plan. I searched and searched to try and find what you describe, I had absolutely no luck.
Couldn't even get any of the vendors I tried, to lead me in the right direction.
That is why I'm proceeding on my own to "panel" the rear cargo windows.
As far as visibility, I don't notice ever using the cargo windows for manuvering anyway. I owned a panel/no window Astro Van for years so I don't have a problem with the sight difference, that's what side view mirrors with fish-eye add-ons are for.
