So if I bought a $50.00 replacement how does it code to my car? Thought that’s something the dealer always had to do even if you bought a replacement?
How did you know your rubber inserts were the issue? Must be the issue with mine since both stopped working.

you can verify if the fob still works, sans rubber keypad... Take the circuit board out of the fob, make sure battery is good, short over one of those gold squiggly contacts with a piece of fine wire or aluminum foil and see if the car responds. Just make sure you are only shorting one of those contacts and nothing else.
