Headline News did a piece this morning on new car prices. A representative of Kelly Blue Book pointed out that the average new car costs around $25000 and gave his list of several "cool cars under $18000" based on safety, features, style and value. The HHR was one of the cars he highlighted, pointing out that it has a retro look with modern car handling. The PT Cruiser wasn't mentioned. I guess that shows that you can be retro and still not be 'cool'.

That's like somebody driving around in a minivan with wood paneling wearing sunglasses and the seat leaned back jamming to some kind of techno music with a blown papercone subwoofer in the back...Oh. Wait. That was me last year. Then I was saved by the retro visionary of the HHR. Now I am cool again, and better yet, was able to replenish my dignity.
