Copart SS Panel

anyone on here score the red SS Panel that sold today on Copart? I was snipe-ing the bid this afternoon but it went higher then i cared to go. I had a max bid in mind in the 5-6k range but it went over seven and i opted out. 47K miles needing a quarter and bumper but appeared clean and well kept. just curious if anyone knows the car. If it would have had a clear title i would have considered going for it but the TN Salvage is going to follow it

When I first saw this at 3 o'clock this morning, looking at the vent visors, I thought Crap Not my SS ! Then saw the sunroof, Whew!
I wonder if the guy from Toledo that bought mine got this one? He has 4-5 Victory red S/S 's and the panel.
Looks to me this poor S/S was run around the junk yard more than a few times! And isn't that a strange cut out on the quarter? I'd like to know the rest of the story...john

I have actually seen this alot at junkyards. People need the metal for patches on other vehicles and RVs. So they will cut out clean metal.

i just met that guy a couple weeks ago, Chuck is his name. I bought a wrecked silver panel parts car from him off a craigs add, nice guy and yeah has a nice collection of HHR's.

Having been a body guy most of my life this hole in the qtr looks to me like exploratory surgery. its sometimes easier to knock out the bulk of the panel with an air hammer or shear then pick away at the edges. my guess anyways

i saw the copart add a couple weeks ago and waited out the auction till the last minute. Sat at a dealer friends with it up on the screen ready to bid. In the last thirty seconds it went from twenty four hundred to over seven thousand lol. i just could not see that number with a salvage title

It is under 48,000 miles and it’s one of only 216 2009 SS panels. And then the adrenaline rush of the bidding!
