to add to Miltown's great list:
A scam running around here some time ago, was the caller would make an appointment to view your car in person - when they arrived they would offer you a set of keys to "their" car that was sitting at the curb to hold while they took yours for a test drive. Hmmmm nice mercedes/BMW etc... so yeah, you had over your keys, they give you the keys to "their" car, and they drive off, never to be seen again. You try the keys they gave you to "their" car - guess what - the keys don't fit. It wasn't their car.
Never, ever let them take it for a test drive by themselves.

Norton and McAfee both suck for catching things along with being major resource hogs. If your running W7, start using Microsoft Security Essentials.
I have the corporate edition of Norton and McAfee available to me free at work, nether hold a candle to Security Essentials.

David, I would change your password @ paypal just to be sure..
I NEVER open links from ebay or Paypal, without first checking my acounts at ebay & paypal..

sorry to hear about your craigslist woes' ive posted on there before and ended up getting 99% spam, so i know what your going through. you may wanna just advertise locally and see what happens, you will get more money selling it privately than trading it in, its sad you cant go online to sell, (the place where you will attract the most potenital buyers) without having to worry about dishonest scammers. my .02 cents worth! lol

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with craigslist as well.
I sold our three daily drivers a few months back all within 2 weeks of putting them on craigslist. One I sold in 24 hours one in a week the other one in 2 weeks.
Did I receive some scam emails?absoulutley but they where pretty obvious to see.
One way is to list your phone # let them leave a phone # then google the phone number if you have any questions about the individual.
Also take WHOPPERS advice
