damn uncomfortable seats

We got our hhr LS in November an love it!!!(you all knew that though) After 800miles this weekend and 600 last weekend, though we have decided that something has to be done about the seats. I don't know what gm was thinking putting seats that hard in anything.

So what has anyone else done? Seat covers? LT2 seats? Aftermarket?

The 2LT would have the same seats as you have. I never noticed a problem, and I've driven from Michigan to Florida and back. Thought it was quite comfortable actually!

I agree with cck. I think they are pretty comfortable. The only problem I have is a problem I have with any car I have ever owned. I have to use a cushion in the small of my back. Lumbar support is either non-existent, too high, or too low.

My seats are fine, But I did add lightly padded & fitted seatcovers..

Maybe that or buy some SS seats for $$$...

I picked up one of these lumbar support pillows (see the link below) and it really helps. I fractured my back in 2006 and the only way I can stand a long trip in the wife's Honda is to use this. The seats in the HHR's don't bother me at all, in fact I'd rate them as better than average, but no two backs are alike.

My LT1 has power seats which can be adjusted to the right position... The only issues I have had is the narrow leg tunnels while driving, my right knee is always leaning on the center console.

I think the "right knee on the console" is one of those HHR things Old Lar, I try not to do it, but after about 5 miles my knee finds its favorite spot on the console. Does you left knee find itself tucked lightly under the leading edge of the arm rest on the door too?

My only complaint is I'd rather have no lumbar, but oh well. I got used to it, and it isn't uncomfortable, I just think it'd be better without.

The seat comfort was one of the things that lead me to buying my HHR. The wife and I rented one for a week when we were in Florida to try it out and we both liked it. I still love driving it almost 2 years later. The seats are some of the most comfortable that I have sat in, but each person is different. You might try sitting in an SS to see if it actually feels any better.
