Daytona Blue / Sunroof

Daytona Blue / Sunroof
Hi, gang!
I pretty much have my heart set on the Daytona Blue color for the HHR which (correct me if I'm wrong) is only available in the 06 version.
A sunroof is an absolute must ~ is it only available in the LT package?
So, I'm scouring the web for Daytona Blues with sunroofs; I have yet to find one!
Has anyone had an after-market sunroof installed?
Thanks!

Don't buy a car with an aftermarket or add one to a car. Kills the value just like frame damage because the roofs are considered structural elements in modern cars.
Try Carmax Stock # 4644175. Good price and miles, has factory sunroof.

hhrcrafty is correct about the structural damage to the roof. I had installed pop up sunroofs in new and used cars/trucks for years. It weakens the roof structure, causes potential rust and water leakage issues. And dont think that asking your dealer for a sunroof in a car that never was manufactred with one means you somehow getting it special ordered. We would get cars brand new from honda and other dealers who insisted their customers wanted a sunroof, then they would charge them accordingly for the work we did. Often we would just shake our heads and say '''man! perfectly good brand new car and they want us to put a hole in it! oh well..its their money, put her in.''

Keep looking you will find the one you want set up just the way you want it. Also the first year production HHRs had some serious issues so do some research on here to learn what to look for buying a used 06. Also a lot of these issues were addressed by GM and may have been taken care of already. If so the person who is selling the car should have proof it was repaired.

WHAT! I Have a 06 with a 07/04/05 build date, I think I can say that it is a early 1st year build, I don't or do not think that 06 have SERIOUS ISSUES. Where do you get this stuff.

No doubt. My DBM is an early '06 and has only had tire problems from road hazards. Nothing else has gone wrong with the car in 44,000 miles and two years of ownership. If the car's still within factory warranty and you notice any glitches, get 'em fixed like you would any other car.
Any model is going to have some kind of issues with some owners, but when it affects maybe 1 out of every 130 owners, that's pretty good quality.

I have a 2006 First year model as well. I was a bit fearful when we got it after hearing horror stories about other first year models (from GM and other makes).
So far I've only had the A/C growl problem, needed the rotors turned once, and just had a front wheel bearing/hub replaced this week. Hardly what I would call serious issues.
My 4th year, 2001 Malibu, that POS car had serious issues. 4 fuel pumps in the first 2 years, new engine at 24,000 miles, I could go on.
