I had been doing research on the HHR. I've always liked the functionality of a "station wagon". I had beed doing a lot of internet shopping. I went to the close-by dealer and said I was looking for an HHR no dark color, no sunroof, no leather, with a 2.4L auto. I had test drove a manual, but the only one around was a 2.2 orange one. (sorry I'm not a fan of orange). They had a gray LT1 2.4 auto on the lot. In Florida, I don't want a dark car or sun roof as they get too hot in the sun. I haven't been disapointed since the purchase March 10, 2006.

Mine came off the lot, granted I was in Charleston SC and it was in Miama FL...... They brought it up before I ever stepped foot on the lot.

I had to special order my HHR.I wanted a 2.4 engine with a 5 speed(which, for 2008,meant that it HAD to be a 2LT),block heater, cloth seats,no sunroof or roof rails. No dealer within 500 miles carried anything like that.My salesman said that no dealer would knowingly carry in stock a car like I wanted anyway.I didn't mind waiting for the car that I wanted.

I bought a 2LT off the dealer lot, but I did a Chevy website search and found the exact one I was looking for with options, color, etc. It was 275 miles away but worth the trip to get exactly what I wanted.

Technically on the lot, but that's because it was used... Couldn't really order a used one...

The Lot, only other standard I wanted was a V-12 Ram(12mpg uh no thanks) and the only other one in the area was a Balt. I like Wagons and Hatches so it was a quick decision.

Str8 from the lot. I saw a lot of HHRs at Lynn Smith Chevy and was doing my searching during the cash for clunkers. I researched for weeks and checked out the different colors in the LT (I wasn't looking for an SS but if GM hada made one with a V-6, dual exhaust, and all wheel drive I would've copped it quick cause I'm not a turbo dude I like raw horsepower but that's me) and came across my Blue Lightning with the Blue Flash Metallic Paint. I had never come across with a paint job like that (I had seen black, blue, orange which at first I wanted, & victory red) so it was screaming at me!! It's blue...it's purple...it's blue...it's purple...man I was in awe!! Yeah, there was some other LT and some even with leather and roof racks but I could not pass out the "Blurple" so after trading in my 2000 Chevy Conversion Van (which was on it's last leg anyway with a busted transmission, brakes, & engine) for it with the $4500 Cash for Clunkers and getting $3000 more off on it, I was sold!! If it wasn't for my daughter just learning how to drive, I would've had them order one in a manual!!

Purchased one of the three that the dealer had on the lot. Got lucky that they had any as this was back in Sept 05.

Bought mine in '07, a year old from a Lexus dealer here locally. Found it on the internet. Obscenely low asking price. It's an '06 loaded up LT2 Black w/ Tan Lthr. I don't know who detailed it but it looks better than new. My mission is to keep it looking that way. Mrs. Ron didn't like it so I bought it anyway. Now I can't get it back! So far the nicest car I've owned.
