Yes the Summerville store was shut down last summer. I got the 09 SS in Sept 08 and the wife got the her LT in Jan 09. We did get the 06 Spring Edition at the North Charleston store though. We had been dealing with the Summerville store since 94 that's 10 new cars and trucks since then.

 

Ordered from factory. Wanted the 1/2 panel in Dark Grey Metallic, 2.4 auto, 6-disc cd changer, no sunroof, leather interior, fog lights and no such animal existed in SoCal. Also ordered my Z-28 from the factory. Seems to be the way to go for me because I am very picky about the extras I want and don't want on cars that I am going to keep for a long time. The HHR is a 2008 and I still have my Z-28 which is a 1995. O.C. HHR

 

Found out about mine while building one on line went to my dealer and had them find one he had never herd of my Special Edition, he had to look it up and when they found it he didn't want to let it go !!

 

Ordered as soon as I could. Also wanted to ensure NO sunroof, with LSD and 5 speed. Dumbest dealer orders had to be 5 speed w/o LSD (possible you can't even do that now).

 

My local dealer couldn't get HHRs when they first came out. It was May of 2006 before they finally got one and sold it immediately. By July when I bought mine it was the fourth one they sold. It came in on Friday afternoon and I bought it at 10 AM on Saturday. I talked about ordering one but they couldn't say when or if they could get one.
