For those of you who are contemplating boogering up the front of your cars with those little "Deer Whistles", I am here to tell you they don't work. The Michigan State Police did a study years ago. They provided half their fleet with and the other half without. Deer collision instances were about 50/50. I can personally attest that my mothers old Sunbird years ago got boogered by a deer near Bab**** Wisconsin and she had those stupid things on her car.

Well I can tell you that when they decide to cross the road, they do just that.

yep, very thin, someone leaned on my new hood and dented it.

If someone can solve the why the deer are so dumb, I am sure the insurance companies would put you on their payroll.

If you want an open season, just become a farmer! They can kill them because the deer are "pests" to the farmer's crops.

Sorry about your bad luck, dude... Deer are indeed retarded...

Thanks all ,
The HHR is in the body shop as we speak, getting disassembled. I will find out soon what kind of damage was done under the hood. So for now I am driving a 2007 Dodge Dakota Ext Cab. Not to shabby, Insurance covers the rental:twothumbs

1. Thinner steel absorbs collision energy more efficiently.
2. Thinner steel is easier to form in one piece.
3. Yes, thinner steel is less expensive and lighter weight for fuel economy, too.
