Hello. I'm ordering a set and wondered is the side marker lens yellow or do you need to buy a yellow bulb? if a bulb needs purchased what is the bulb #?

When I had clear markers on my Grand Prix I put yellow bulbs and LIGHTLY coated with high temp silver paint which would look silver until the light came on then showed perfect yellow. I want to do the same if needed.

They do make a amber bulb that is chromed? That way there when turned on it's amber (yellow) in color and when off it's chrome! Might be a #3157?

My DEPO's came with new bulbs, main and turn signal. The turns are yellow bulbs as the lens is clear with chrome/mirror-like finish inside the housing (around where the bulb actually is). Someone was talking in a thread very recently about led bulbs called switchbacks, which, if I understand correctly, look clear, and are light clear for the running lamp part, but when blinking, are amber. I *think* that's what they do anyway - a quick search should pull the thread up.

Huh? Pretty sure my depos have the amber plastic lens over the turn signal bulb, just like the factory ones.
They do come with all the bulbs installed.

Prod, I suppose it's possible that they made a couple different style of front lenses on the DEPO's, but I looked this morning before I left work, and took a picture. Mine is definitely all clear, and the only amber created is from the actual bulb. Here's a picture of my driver's side headlight, from approximately a 45 degree angle. The amber you see is the actual bulb, lights off, as I hadn't gotten in the car yet.

Yup you are right, my mistake. I just got used to seeing it from the front I guess. The reflector makes it look like the large yellow lens.

The bulb is a #3157

When I did my first set of headlights I knew I wanted a clean NO amber marker look.. (No offense to anyone but I hate that amber marker look on the HHR)
I also wanted no amber bulb reflection at all.... so i used the titanium bulbs from Autolumination... originally i bought the "chrome dome" but seeing as only half the bulb is chrome it still reflected amber in the reflector when the lights were off
