This could also be another differance between the LS and LT models. Maybe the LT's have the reinforcements designed into them. Kinda like the fog light wiring.

So you're saying if it's not offered as an option on that model, the car is not built to handle the option added later! That makes sense to me.

someone else replied to a similar thread when i first got the rails, i believe he said that ALL the hhrs roofs were identical on the underside.also my hhr brochure lists a black or chrome rail as an option, Ehat e need is someone in the KNOW who can settle this before one of us loses a bike or kayak...
