Smile dimension of Panel cargo platform

My first post. I am looking at trading my Mini Cooper S for an HHR Panel.
Can someone tell me the dimensions of the cargo area? length x width not volume.
What think? If you love the Mini S would you love the HHR SS?

hmmmm i have a panel but to lazy to messure. you could just stop by a dealership and say you want to look at the panel. that would be a better idea of size. and yeah its pretty roomie in side. and also soon after you get it youll want to put seats in the back haha

cargo

i did much shopping before i decided to get the hhr. there is NO minivan that will get the mpg that the hhr gets. the only vehicle i found that had the same( or simular) cargo and mpg was the toyota rav. mostly i compared the honda element , and the toyota scion. my 08 panel measures 58 inches long and 39 inches wide. these are measurements to the shortest points on the package/cargo tray. there is more space available inbetween the points. i agree that you should go look ,measure , compare and drive. i only got to drive the element and the hhr. there is no comparison. i did like the honda , but i don't think i would have liked it on my long daily route. just today i had someone tailgating me in a car on a country road , above the speed limit. i finally decided to put them way behind out of my site. it was easy , with very little effort. if i had been in the honda element , i would have probably cleaned out the ditches.

Even more
The HHR SS has way more power than the Mini, although the mini is fun to drive, there is no comparison in power.
Plus, parts for the HHR are less $.
One note, The mini drivers seat actually has more leg room , I sat in one and was surprised considering it's size.
