Do You Like The Sound The Motor Makes?

I really enjoy the sound of the stock mufler & the twin cam 2.4 motor. I dont want to put a coffee can muffler with more noise, the stock sound is GREAT!

I enjoyed the sound of the stock muffler and my 2.2 engine...however, since I have added the IMCO T924 turbo, I am experiencing a nice purr and increased power. My boyfriend thought I was a little nuts when I changed out the muffler until he heard it...and then when I let him drive it the other day, he was like whoa...this thing goes way faster since the last time I drove it...and we even had the air conditioning on. Now mind you...he's one of the guys who believes you shouldn't modify new cars other than cosmetic things, but he agreed that changing the muffler did the car a world of good.

No! I can't stand the sound of our engine/exhaust combo and I know there's not much I can do to make it sound any better.

I must say, after reading different post regarding aftermarket mufflers..I'm glad I went with the IMCO 924 Turbo...It does pur's while driving normal, but has a decent sound when your foot's in it...It's just right for my 2.4 w/auto.
Muffler & Installed $86 out the door...they swapped the Factory tip for me.

I was so glad when I got rid of that turtle muffler and replaced it with the IMCO 924. Nice deep sound. Like that little rumble you get when you first turn your car on and off.

Yeah; now every time I hit remote start while walking up to it I get a big smile on my face! It's not a V8, but it sure sounds better!

Bowtie,
Do you mean that they put the factory tip on the IMCO?

Yeah, that's what he did. Tips aren't cheap - some cost over twice what the muffler does!
