You might want to learn how to adjust your mirrors. I drive an HHR Panel and have driven Vans without windows. When you learn how to use them, they really work.

The panel is not for everyone, nor is it intended for basic transportation. Your review missed a big point, this truck (not car) was designed as a work/delivery vehicle. Ever see a UPS truck with windows? Fedex? DHL?

As far as safety, They do have side and front air bags/curtains and did you check out their crash safety rating?

Bet you think 5 MPH crash bumpers are a safety feature too.

Just looked at the website this guy writes for. Now I understand more. He's Canadian.

 

race-on....the article was posted to show forum members another opinion of the HHR panel. People responded and thats that. I dont understand what you are posting. People can reply as much as they want, i have no control of this forum .Theres no offence taken, just think a little less whining and lets move on to better subjects. I drive an 07 panel as my daily driver with no problems at all. You just have to be aware of what you are driving...just like any other car/truck.
To be fair, I got my CDL many years ago to drive a school bus. I drove on very narrow inner city streets for several years. The length of that thing was a bigger factor than blind spots though.
Panels are not minivans or mama taxis. The biggest criticism I see from people is the lack of a back seat? It seems to be the limiting factor to most people. The 1/4 panel delete will likely appeal to this crowd. Personally I see it as the compromise that it is...."mullet" anyone?

I'm really glad that Chevrolet had the guts to actually build the panel, but I'm not sure that they will keep doing it. How many have you actually seen? Especially with all of the talk about taking the "retro" away from them in furture updates, I don't think they will last.

 

ya...chevy should make an ss police paddy wagon. Be fun to see midget policemen driving it.

 

Panels seem to be selling like hotcakes at a local dealership here in central PA. We couldn't even test drive one because everytime the dealer got a Panel in, it was sold before we had time to go there (2 days or less). So we test drove a regular HHR and then placed our order...along with 2 other Panels (ordered by someone else)!

 

WOW!!! buy me one for x-mas!!! i can learn to be goood! well...sort of. Just buy me one.
