Dome light wiring question???

Does anyone know which wire(s) off the the interior wiring harness out of the fuse box controls the dome light? I need to tap into it for floor lighting.

Thanks

The schematics show the supply voltage comes from connector C3 pin A3, and the Lamp Control comes from C3 pin A10. I believe the dimming function is done on the "ground" side of the light, which is why there is both a supply pin and control pin on the BCM. If you connect to C3 A3 and ground the other side of your lights, they will be on all the time.
Also, I'm not sure of the current rating of the dimming function of the BCM so be careful not to smoke it.

Hi,

Do you have a pin diagram?

The pin A3 should have a Dark Blue with White stripe wire, and the A10 should be Grey. I'm looking for a diagram.

The C3 connector is a red connector with 4 rows of wires. There is a large red/black wire in one corner, that is the D1 position, so if you go to the other side that would be the "A" row. They are numbered 1 thru 12 (not all rows have all 12 positions) but you should be able to see that the third position down should have the Dark Blue with White stripe, and the third from the other end (A10) will have the grey wire.

Thanks, I ended up finding them the old fashioned way, 1/2 hour with a volt meter, and tracing back from the wiring harness going into the rear view mirror. At least I now know I found the right wires. I will post a how-to for the floor lighting. I need to go out and take the pictures this morning. I'll try to post them today. They came out looking great.

Thanks again for the help!!
