Dome lights

My question is can you turn off the dome lights manually ?I looked through the owner manual and can not fine it.

Pretty sure that got discussed a couple years ago. If I remember correctly, the answer was No.
They will "time out" on their own if you leave a door open with the engine off. Something like 10 mins. or so, then the battery saver mode kicks in.

Which do you mean? The one that comes on when you open the door or the map lights? Map lights just push on the lens (if you leave them on, they will time out).

Thats what I thought. Reason for my question is, I shut the door last night and the dome lights did not go off. After going back into the dark garage 30 min later I found them on. After shutting the drivers door a few times it went out. I can not believe GM did not put a OFF override switch for the dome lights.

Depends on the year & model, there are at least 3 variants of "Dome Light" that I have heard of.
