Door Poppers - any adjustment ? HHR Panel
Recently acquired a 2008 HHR Panel LT, enjoying it a lot and all this forums feed back & information.
I notice often the Drv Side Door Popper doesn't always push the door out far enough to release the latch. Often requires 2nd or 3rd press of Openers (remote or dash button).
Is there any adjustment to the Popper, or is this a sign it's needing replaced? I did spray white lithium grease on the latches & hinges without any improvement.

Both my rear doors do that. It'll take two taps on the remote or dash, or sometimes if I just hold the button they'll open all the way. I think others have the same "issue", though I suspect it may be inherent as a safety thing - just in case someone inadvertently hits the button while the car is underway. If you're parked on a slight incline where the car is tilted to one side and try to open the uphill side, that, too, won't quite release the latch all the way. I've had to pull the door while tapping my remote button in some instances.

Interesting, that does what?... spaces the door link back a little so it has more free moment before the link contacts the friction mount?
Alignment of striker... Checked how with Popper... Hold manual handle "open" and test door latch fit to striker or is there a better way?
It all looks clean and not gummy, but the "gummy" comment may be a possible, I've noticed it's worse on cold mornings.
Then again, some times it pops the door open nicely... parked in same place each time: Garage stall or Office Parking stall.
It's not consistent.
Along a similar subject, a persistent Door Link Noise on opening the door. The Driver's Door most prominent but other doors too.... when opening, it makes a creak sound, like 2-3 separate creaks as door is opened. I applied white lithium grease into hinges and link without any noticeable change in tone of creak sound. Actually opening feels very smooth, door latches easy, opens smooth without drag.... just makes a creaking noise.
Is there a component in the Link piece... spring friction plate or something that wears and needs replaced?
