door sill rust

The drivers door sill of my 2006 HHR has some rust patches along the weld. Would this be covered with the Chevy anti-rust warranty?

Thanks agains.

The factory warrany only covers rust, if it COMPLETELY rusts through... You can try contacting a dealer, but I bet they say the same thing?

Contact the dealer and check. Often they have been taking care of this issue with little problem.

Many here have had this repaired with no rust through.

All the cars I owned when living in the rust belt developed rust along the door seams in a couple of years. I had one of my cars rust proofed at the dealer when it was new and took it back when it started corroding. They "fixed" it and bondo'ed over the rusting areas which started bubbling the next year. I ended up laying a fiberglass sheet over the area and fixed it myself. After six years, it still looked good when I traded the car away. The road salt is a killer on metal cars

I just had rust repair done on my 08 panel. had three doors no cost to me. I would get the work done by a dealer that has its own body shop there are speical tools to unbend the bottom lip clean out the rust then reclose the lip. if your dealer sends it to a aftermarket body shop they may not have those tools. with the correct tools the repair looks much better than just sand blasting filling and paint.
