Question Dragging Clutch

2007 HHR, 3600 miles. Clutch doesn't completely disengage sometimes. Worse in cold weather. Warm weather usually works fine. Stroke of master cylinder piston doesn't seem to be long enough. Anybody had a similar issue?

I own a 2007 LS with the 5-speed manual transmission. In the owner's manual, on page 125, it says that if you have come to a complete stop and it is difficult to shift into 1st gear, you should put the shift lever in neutral, let up on the clutch pedal, then depress the clutch pedal and try again. I don't know if this is associated with your problem because you stated that the clutch "doesn't completely disengage sometimes".

Also, you should be aware that the HHR does not have a separate clutch master cylinder - it uses the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir.

Your experience with the clutch would be vital information so please post your findings as things progress.
