Pulling into traffic from a median is where it could get dicey if you didn't get the correct angle. Other than that, the best way is to always be the lead dog.

Who turns their head to look anyway? Be sure to learn and trust mirrors. If I had to turn my head to change lanes with this rig, I'd be seeing what's in the refrigerator.

this may have already been said but have you thought of a half panel ? you get the best of both.

My Panel came with the "spotter" mirrors from the factory. They do a decent job. I think they're MUCH better than some "peel and stick" after market mirrors you could buy at any auto parts store.

MIKEYfixit- I disagree, & here's why:

So, off came the GM 3 3/4" spots, & I put 3" spots on....Big improvement !!

What using smaller 3" spots does, is move the crown of the convex out further away, thus allowing me to even see the bottoms of both my rear tires. (snip)

Perfect for parking super-close to a curb, or etc. And still see across 2 to 3 lanes of traffic, out either side, all while being comfortably reclined...
Can you see your rear tires ?? I don't think so..

I can see my rear tires by adjusting the stock mirrors....

Rear sightlines are no prblem in the panel, the factory mirrors are excellent, even better than the ones on the vans I've owned. However, the 'A' pillar could hide a big rig at certain angles, took some getting used to.

I have the spot mirrors(peel & stick) that are adjustable and they work great when I pull my 6x8 utility trailer.

Spot mirrors? Seriously? I hate those things. Been driving vans since I got my license and never liked em.

Used to have a 70 GMC van with no windows aft of the cabin, not even rear door windows. Had those hot rod style round 3" peep mirrors. That was challenging to drive, but not impossible.

You don't need to identify WHAT is next to you, just that SOMETHING is next to you....
