My tails are on on DRL could be bulbs out or a mid year change.

I think older vehicles the full set of lights does not come on

My 08 tail lamps are not on with the DLR's on. The 06 hhr used the front turn signals as DRL's. In 07 and up the hhr use's the head lamps. My 07 had to have the body controller replaced because the DLR quit working. I never looked my 07 to see if the tail lamps were on. I will have to look tonight when I get home.

Maybe your headlights are staying on in the day time. I know on my 5spd when you hand the parking brake pulled the DLR's are turned off. Trying your parking brake may help to figure out if the DLR's are on or not.

True, on the five speed, pulling the hand brake will kill the DRL's. Its possible that your headlights are on, often at this time of the year, with the sun at such a low angle, I often see my headlights on, during daylight hours. Check the little blue light in the headliner, if its on, your headlights are on, along with all the markers and tail lights.

Have a 2010 LS and when installing new LED's in the taillights noticed they are on when DRL's are on. And quite bright (now) too! Should be safer, as they don't seem to be very reflective and are quite small.

A) the light on the headliner comes on sometimes without the headlights, I don't remember what the circumstances is, but I tested on my 2008. The light is gone on the 2011, I think it went away in 2009.

B)I noticed today that my tail lights stayed on were on for a few seconds after I stopped, put the car in park, left the engine running. By the time I walked to the rear the lights were on and winked off.

Hmmm, as far as the little blue headliner light, I would guess the only time it might be on without headlights, would be if the parking lights were manually turned on. Have to check sometime. Have to watch to see if there are any other times. I have decided I like the headliner light. Its a conversation piece, so to speak. Not surprised it was done away with, though.

After a year without it, I still look up there at dusk.

I think it comes on at that time that everyone complains about their dash lights going off.
