East Coast Snow storm

NYC/NJ got about 12 to 16 inchs of snow. Oh what Joy it was to drive with low traction on. When I left the house around 6:00 A.M. to give my mom a ride to work, it was very easy to pull out of the driveway and on the roads, there was cars going all over the road, the SI expressway a major roadway with 6 lines was operating with 2 lanes one in each direction. Driving was not a problem, It was very easy to drive around the people with the flashers that were afraid to drive. However going home my car got stuck trying to go up the driveway. The driveway was covered becasue during the time i left around 6 and by the time i came back almost 2 hours later, about 6 inchs of snow covered up the driveway. The HHR was stuck. I have a slight incline and I was unable to drive up the driveway. I had to shovel and use the snowblower to clear a path.

Let's see....................the official measurement here so far is 14", and it's still snowing and blowing. I know I have a red HHR here somewhere. I have to take my wife to work soon, and there is nothing around here that resembles pavement. Guess I will have to dig out the S-10 4X4. Maybe I can get the son to dig out his Ram 1500 crew cab with the hemi. Wait....he can't afford the gas....lol

I had family in Vero beach, but since my Dad passed away in June, they stopped talking to me and want nothing to do with me. My aunt (Dad's sister) and her Daughter (first cousin) they forgot who I am, when my Dad died, so did I. The funny thing is that when I was working at my past job in Fort Lauderdale, before he died I would rarely spend a weekend there, and I would rent a car to vist them. Last time I have seen then was before he passed. During Labor day weekend I had my mom fly down to meet me during one of my business trips and we rented an HHR LS and we called them up to meet them, they claimed they were all sick. So me and my mom spent time in South Beach and the Hard Rock instead.

Right now there is only a little dusting on it. It's really cold out right now but nothing is coming down.
