ESC Active after getting gas ?

I went to look at a house about a 45 minute drive on the highway, left there and went to the bank about 30 minute drive. got gas ( had 1/2 tank but gas was cheaper out that way ) filled it up then headed for the highway, as I was on the acceleration ramp it bogged down and the ESC ACTIVE lit up across the dash as well as the yellow idiot lights, then both the esc and traction lights lit up WTF ????
Got up to speed on the highway with no issues after that little mental breakdown, driving 70mph ( speed limit ) for a good 20 minutes then the car does a little hiccup like a surge for a couple seconds, then fine the rest of the way home but all the christmas lights stayed on on the dash.....
Could bad gas do this ? Im going to go out in a minute to see if the code reader shows anything... Had no issues or lights prior to this, 30 degrees outside if that makes a difference?

Bad gas won't do that. Your battery and/or alternator may be bad.

Yes, those symptoms indicate low voltage conditions, have your battery load tested and the charging system tested, then if they check out ok. Check your fuse box under the hood, loose fuses or relays, how about loose and or corroded ground wires?

everything tight, nothing corroded, no codes....
Just really odd its been running perfect all this time and all the sudden a glitch after fueling ( and yes the gas cap is on tight ) I always make sure to give it the extra clicksssssssssssssss LOL

SO if it is the battery, Ill have to go have it load tested, I wouldnt think the alt would just glitch rather than make noise and do it all the time?

I just recently replaced my alternator. The only warning was an occasional momentary battery warning light. Car started perfectly every time. I Went to get the battery tested, it was discharged so low that they couldn't test the charging system. I drove it home and charged the battery. When I took it back to O'Reilly's, they tested it, it was a bad alternator.

I get my battery and alternator tested every fall and spring , it’s free and I have had one dead battery and one bad alternator, both in Sweetie‘s 2003 Sunfire, but my HHR’s have always been good. That one battery died in Florida of a dead cell , but who knows what caused that the alternator checked out just fine!

Its cold out but I got to the battery just to check voltage since its been sitting awhile now... reading 12.40 on the digital so should be good? It will be warmer tomorrow and I will go get it load tested and check the alternator while at it. I popped the hood and everything looks good as well ( belt and all ) so the test will say if something got a gremlin going on.... BTW my battery is an ACDelco !!!!! But cant see any date codes on it?
