ESC question

Its possible, I havent checked yet but I will have a diagnostic ran on it when I run to Oreillys to pull the codes. Just off that it didnt do this until after putting in the fogs. I did disconnect the battery as I tried to replace the steeringbutton but couldnt get the airbag to come off yet, its good and tight but maybe need to check that again as well, maybe clean the post ?

Hey guys, I know I need the actual codes to be precise but they didnt have a print out of the codes or did I have pen/paper to jot it down.
Something I forgot to mention in the original post, when I accelerate hard ( not like a race car driver, but just harder than normal ) the car pulls to the right hard as well which my 08 never did ?
Anyways the 2 codes that pulled up were under ABS and it was steering wheel angle sensor and Acceleration sensor. Anyone know what they may be and where? These are whats setting my ESC /Traction light on the dash.

Well it's back to OReilly's for you. Either get a print out or take your pencil and paper with you to write it down this time. Code #'s only. No descriptions.
You want us to guess which codes you got ? Please. I would hate to have to post up that picture of Carnac again...or Donbrew could throw on his turbin and give it a guess.

What car is this?
Sounds to me like you have a bent tie rod. That would cause the computers to think you are slipping and sliding around and trying to save your life. Maybe a stuck caliper.
The ESC activates the brakes in an attempt to get the car steering straight. This is why you should not reset the steering wheel instead of adjusting the toe
The steering angle sensor is in the steering column. I got no idea what an acceleration sensor might be; maybe you mean Lateral Accelerometer/Yaw sensor. They sense if you are in a sliding state; going in a different direction than the steering wheel is pointed.
Carnac the Magnificent is thinking C0186, C0196, C0201, C0252, C0280, C0292, C0299, C0460, C0551, C0561, C0569, C1100, P0856 All of which would have 2 additional digits to get closer to the problem.
The steering angle sensor should be calibrated if any of the cpmponents have been messed with. That takes a CAN enabled computer.

LOL Well no I wasnt expecting you all to guess which codes. When I got the new tires I also had a 4 wheel alignment done , then went on our trip a week later with no isues ( except that pull on hard acceleration ) which is taking off from a stop light or hitting the passing gear while driving. Wednesday I will be in town when I take my wife to the doctor and will stop to get a printout of the codes and post them up when I get back.
if its a bent tie rod wouldnt it have been doing this from the get go? as everything passed inspections.
Don, its a 2009 2LT 2.4

Is you left front axle connected? Are all of the tires properly inflated? Is the steering wheel mounted with the key and mark at 12 o'clock? Fuse #13, #19 and #28 BCM. You might have hit a wire while trying to get the airbag off.

My luck its possible..... guess when it gets cooler Ill have to get it off and look better... I still need to install that switch anyways. Just so hot out at 100+ dont feel like doing much. Trying to get the coop and garden done too but looks like its not with surgery so close.
