Evap canister vent solenoid question

Okay bought another one has had a code and all else checked out fine and I tapped this on the ground and dirt fell out. New off brand online came with another plug end. One goes into the sensor and other is a red end plug and I have nowhere to plug that into? This is a 2011 HHR 2.4L.

sensor is the exact same except this other plug end?

Thanks for any help.

Do you mean it came with a pigtail to adapt from one style connection to the OEM connector, like this?

If you DO mean you have an extra pigtail; it is for 2006-2007 models, they changed the harness connector.

Hey guys. It looks exactly like that picture blue. So I ignore that and just plug stock harness into new sensor?

Amazon says, for through 2010,
Notes:
  • MUST USE T/W JUMPER HARN 19257603

2011 does not have this note.

The one with the pigtail "fits all" the one without "fits 2008-2011". Just throw the pig tail away.

I used that part on my 2011, the OEM harness plugged directly into it, no need for an adapter harness.

Okay thanks for the help guys. I bought a Standard brand off amazon part number CVS33. Think I will just buy a Acdelco one instead.

Does the other charcoal unit this one part hooks up to ever go bad? I see it’s expensive.
