Evap canister vent solenoid question

Wish I had a tuner as well. The temperature has to be over 40 degrees F. for the EVAP to run its test. So when the weather warms up you may get the CEL

Nope and I live in the south so zero rust underneath it’s spotless 😁. Only smelled it twice so not sure what was up with that. By the end of June I have to have this figured out so it will pass emissions.
Already replaced the gas cap with a acdelco one off amazon. Replaced purge solenoid and all lines and fittings are tight. So leads me to think the vent canister I bought is bad and if the new gas cap was bad it won’t cause and bog or stalling issues once awhile. Fuel pressure is good and hear the fuel pump loud and clear.

I see what your saying but the once in awhile it does that and the fact it was throwing a evap large leak code wouldn’t be a fuel pump. It can sit for 24hrs or more and still start right up with no issue so fuel pressure would have dropped by then if a pump.
