How about the inevitable goofball who tried to drive off with the speaker still hanging in their window?

The sad thing is that back in the heyday of the Drive-In movies, the speaker would get ripped off by the car, nowadays...the speaker would either break the door window, or rip the door off.

They just don't build 'em like they used to.

Of course the theaters are nearly all gone, back in 1975 there were 220 Drive-In theaters here in North Carolina. Today we have 9 left, the oldest is the Badin Road Drive-In located in Stanley County, except for a period between 1994 and 2003...it has been open since 1948.

my wife and I, first went out to a four movie marathon "all Nighter" feature was Texas Chainsaw Massacre with EarthQuake and American Graffiti and Black Christmas. at the Welland Drive-in in Dain City, Ontario.
