Extreme Cold Air Intake

Extreme Cold Air Intake
Kinda slow here so I thought I'd toss something out. While driving home last night it was -15F. So I thought I'd floor it and see how much effect the super cold/dense air would have on power.....well it was more that a little improvement. The engine temp would instantly drop 10 degrees and it sounded different, only problem asphalt doesn't have a lot of grip at -1fF. Kinda weird breaking the tires loose on dry pavement at 30mph with a 4 cylinder.

I noticed that the Minister of SInister was running very well to and from Chicago yesterday withthe colder air, but I think that I will give up the performance boost for abour 80 degrees and sunshine !!!

Darn, it's too slippery here to try that at -22F. I am gonna look for a place on the way to work tomorrow to try it at -30F..
Now that puts a new meaning to the "Cold Air Intake"

Check out Embarrass, MN last night -52 F = 46.6 C
I have had -54 F = -47.7 C at my house when Embarrass had -64 F = -53.3 C ... Now where did i lay my converter......
The Italian Air Force is in Duluth doing Icing systems testing. Ford does some of its cold weather testing in the area also..
This is cold no matter where it is.. It happens up Nort...
At least the trucks are not going through the ice when they drive them on the lakes now..
