Factory exhaust

What is it? It is aluminized steel? anodized Aluminum?

I don't see a stock setup being stainless. I still say galvanized. I know when I worked in an automotive shop when I was in high school, the exhaust piping we stocked was galvanized

The SS I know for sure is stainless, I was standing there when they cut it out

I am sure you understand that by anodized aluminum, I was referring to the anodized coating that is applied to aluminum as well as other metals to prevent them from corrosion. I have seen key chains that are anodized, I am sure exhaust can be too. Which part of this was funny?

The part that was funny, is that they don't anodize exhaust systems also anodize only works on pure aluminum, so it still wouldn't work on aluminized/steel systems.

I don't know about the SS, but the exhaust on regular HHRs is just your run of the mill, average cheap steel piping that can rust and rot out pretty quickly
