Question Fascia on my 2010 HHR sticks out at fenders :(

Hello everyone,

IMAG0382.jpg?t=1297970519

As you can somewhat see above, my fascia sticks out at where it meets my fenders. Its like this on both sides. What could be causing this? Is it normal? Its been that way since I got it.

I noticed it once I went to install my fog lamps. I just figured if I reseated it, it would be better-or that there was ice or salt behind it. It really bothers me. I also noticed that the middle hole that the spur grabs was cracked and looked as though it could come loose. Also, there is masking tape at the spot where the bumper cover meets the steel bumper under my grille.

My rear fascia bounces up and down if I move it just above the exhaust exit, my front is poorly fitting...sheesh. My Cobalt was the same way, but I figured that was because it was used.

Since I added fog lights, do you think the dealership will give me hell about it and try and blame it on me? The car is brand new. Less that 2500 miles on her.

It was that way previously and I DID tell my salesman about it on the phone when he gave me a courtesy call WEEKS ago.

Hope that photo worked... can't see it here where I work, typed it in manually.

There is a screw in the fender well under the area that is sticking out. You can try loosening it and gently flush the area out and tighten the screw while holding it flush. Just don't over tighten the screw.

I saw some spurs there. I thought they looked flat up against the body... maybe I'll try again.

If that was not sucessfull, I would take it back to the dealer and see what their body shop has to say about it since it's a new vehicle.

It's from curb checking. (ask me how I know) All you have to do is mash it back down.

I never curb checked my car, unless a test driver did it on both sides?

I assume it would mean something along the lines of popping your car up on the curb while pulling into a spot-like over a concrete block or walkway.

I never do this.
