Mine controls the passenger ejection seat as fas as how high she get launched. However, most of the time I just leave her at home.

I have a 09 LT2 with the sport suspension and 17 inch wheels, I really enjoy this car it is a highway cruiser and handles well, my wife thinks the car is ugly, I don't. But she really enjoys the drive of it. I am really piling the miles on it, I like driving it, how it handles and the mileage, the 2.4L is a great engine, plenty of power, I run Premium in it for the extra power I get with it, but it runs well on regular also. I also have four kids, and installed a extra seat belt in back it has been approved by my local law inforcement, so we haul our whole family in it. I really enoy the xm and the onstar directions. It is a great car with leather seats with all the features you could want. I know some like the SS, a great car, but I am completely satisfied with my LT2....

The armrests aren't bad, but on roadtrips I usually keep my arm on the passanger side armrest to hold my wifes hand/leg. My only issue w/ the armrest is the cupholders and the tight fit, but I got used to it quickly.

Not in the least. One of the things I like most about mine is the road feel especially at speed. The thing is solid and road feel (for me) is perfect especially considering the type vehicle.

Ive driven the 16" steelies, the 17" alloys and the 18" alloys, and to be quite honest, the 17 and the 18 definately seemed more "planted" in terms of handling! And made for an overall better highway experiance. Though, these Illinois roads did seem a bit 'bumpier' with the 18" over the 16" but that can be mildly adjusted by not putting in 35-40psi in the tires, but a lesser 30-34psi works wonders. The sport suspension is pretty much irrelevant as most of the components can be added aftermarket and even 'tuned'.

I bought my mom an 06 LT with the 17" alloys and I almost stole them before I gave her the car for xmas I woulda went to hell for it so I opted to leave em alone heheh... but she loves the ride and to be very honest, between my 09LS (w/ 16" steelies) and her 06LT (w/17 alloys) I couldnt really feel a definate change in overall performance/comfort

SOOOOOOooooooooooo............

If you find an HHR with 17" alloys that you like... GET IT :)

Happy hunting ^_^

Thanks everyone for the usefull answers that I'm recieving about my questions.

dkenthoward (thanks for the welcome btw), Czechman and minddrive...I've been thinking about your opinions of the sport suspension and I will make sure that I try a car w/that suspension before buying..i live on the canadian prairies and I do quite a bit of highway driving (especially in the summer to the lakes) and i want a good, stable ride for that. I intend to keep this car awhile so I want to get the options right so that I'm not sorry for my purchase (unlike my current ride)

09 SS- I'm trying not to get a mental image of where your wife's hand is if she has no armrest!!? lol

Thanks again ppl. Rod
