Finally Pulled the Trigger- Newbie

After doing a lot of research and reading this forum, I traded my 03 Cavalier in on an 07 2LT. Have had it a day and a half and it is a great car, just like you folks say! Summit white, 2.4, leather, sunroof, running boards, splash guards, 17" polished wheels, sunroof, upgraded stereo system with XM. By reading this forum, I ordered the vent visors from GM and just installed them.

Took it on I-77 today on run to Charlotte and DIC showed 31.4 to 32.5 mpg! Sticker price was 23,975. After trade and playing the dealer against others in the area, took it home for 15,100 +t+t. They threw in an additional $1000 rebate that is suppose to come out tomorrow.

My son, who owns his own paintless dent repair business told me the car didn't have any wax on it. He suggested ICE by Turtle Wax. Synthetic polish. Great stuff! No white residue on anything! You can use it on all trim, wheels, lens covers and they look great. Will not fog the plastic. I also used it on all the windows, mirrors and sunroof. [Don't put it on the windshield]. I bought the paste, as instructed, not the liquid. $15.00! No pics yet but it "Beyootiful". Thanks for all your sharing of information.

to the site and the HHR family.I too use Ice by Turtle Wax and I am pleased with the results.Like you say,I can use it on all of the car including the plastic.Makes my Rebel Grey look good all over. I wish you a long and rewarding friendship with your HHR.

to the fourm! I haven't used ICE, but I have used meguires NXT synthetic wax. From what I have read since, it sounds like ICE may be the better choice. Congrats on your purchase. Summit white looks great on the HHR.

Talking Welcome!!!

to another Summit White owner!!! I also use Turtle Wax Ice (frequently) on my ride, and it looks slick. You mentioned a paste though, I didn't know there was such a thing, although I did see that they now make a 'clay' liquid version of Turtle Wax Ice. ENJOY YOUR RIDE, & NICE TASTE IN COLOR!!!
