Easiest and one of the least expensive mods (and usually the first), is to replace the "fishing pole" antenna with a stubby.

Changed out the cabin filter yesterday and installed the rear cargo protector. Next up, embroidered carpets, a stubby antenna and stubby door lock shafts.

Very cool find! I didn't know they made those colors in '07, I thought it was just a one year thing!

As for the warranty, I would say no. Usually those warranties are scams as they can find a way to claim that the part that broke isn't covered, whether it's your fault for not maintaining it, or a part that wasn't covered broke it or something like that...

"stubby door lock shafts" I just wound off my chrome plastic knobs & trimmed the stem & re-installed.. Now in Lock-Down they are flush with door sill..

I thought about that since the smoothie ones don't seem to be available any longer. Can you describe the process of how exactly you cut the spindles, how much you cut off and how difficult it was? I've already read how to get them off and to silicon whatever you use back on. Thx!

dartanian-
With the doors UN-locked & knobs off, I covered the door top around the studs for protection with masking tape. Then used my wizz-wheel & cut them off almost flush, then cleaned up the end-threads & screwed the knob/handles back on.. Very simple.. The threads are very coarse. Took about 15 minutes per side. I didn't need any sillycone or JB weld.

By Wizz Wheel, do you mean a tube cutter like this? Or did you use some sort of dremel thing? http://www.jcwhitney.com/professiona...pjn&subid=3578

Dremel thing, with thin round cutting wheel..

you could use a hacksaw & get same result, just be careful.
