I have gone through a few rolls of that chrome trim myself. I need to apply it with some other adhesive as the desert heat seems to keep the sticky from doing it job and it lifts. I end up yanking it off. I'll follow this thread to see if anyone else has this problem and have found a solution/better adhesive.

Superglue. It does a good job holding EL wire in place.

If memory serves me right, CJ mentioned shoe goo. Here's a link to a site that has it online.

Due to the heat I had to remove the chrome trim a few weeks ago. Since then I bought more of it, along with some adhesive from 3M. I pit it back on one door for now. I am going to give it a few days to see how it holds. Once I see if it works I will let you know.

at wal mart and other places there is a tube of 3M glue. only problem is it comes in a small tube.
Shoe goo works great but it does not have a small tip for application.

gorilla glue would work but you would have to tape the trip in place for probably 5 to 6 hours to get a good stick.

you could try a super glue gel and that may work probably the best from what i have seen on the shelves researching.

if it comes loose, dont throw it away, peel off the 3M tape on it and use a different glue
