My first mod was adding the embroidered rug to the rear cargo area. Second mod was sliding it off the road and damaging two wheels. Third mod was new steel wheels and new tires.

I guess it's not perfect anymore, so I'll have a bit of fun with it. I think I might black out all the brushed aluminum on the grille and rear fascia, and drive an all black car.

If you look at my mods in the pics gallery, I've put less than $400.00 in mods since buying it new with 7 miles on it. (now at 37,000) And it's quite a bid diff. And pretty much 1 of a kind . For a small amount of cash. ( Not sure if anyone else has done a ram air)

First mods

Just bought an '09 2LT Techno Gray used ex rental car but very loaded.
First mod was a Gentex auto dimming rearview mirror with homelink, compass and outside temp. Weathertech floor mats front and rear. Coming soon are
factory chrome side rails and carpeted cargo mat. Bought an extended range
factory remote because the remote starter only works from about 10 ft away.
Not here yet. BTW has anybody bought one of these? I understand it has
to be programmed by the dealer or can a qualified locksmith do it? My guess
is a 1.7 hrs to program by dealer it's probably going to cost $200. That's
more than an after-market remote starter with extended range costs installed!

First I added my suicide knob then had the my wheels and grill painted Red after that all the badges had to go and were replaced with 3 “Xtreme” badges. I also blacked out the rocker panels under the doors. The great big mirror with on star {that blocks a big part of the windshield when you are 6’ 2” and your head is at the roof} was replaced with a small 8 inch mirror, however I am thinking about going to a smaller 5 inch mirror that would solve the problem with visibility. I mounted a vintage style dash prism to see traffic lights without having to lay over in the passengers seat.

Denny- WELCOME & Congrats on your New ride !!!

My first mod was adding my chrome lic plate frame & chrome bullet bolts to drive mine home..

However:
As was mentioned a couple times (at least), is shaving the emblems..

This is very simple & about any weather is suitable to do it.. (if you want it shaved) ?

I use Fishing line, holding an end in each hand & then work it back & forth behind each emblem, this will gently cut thru the adhesive & won't hurt the paint.

After, a little rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining residue. & then you should or could wax the area..

There are many very low cost mods that produce great results..

Another
is making a lower "Gutter Guard grill" To protect your A/C condenser, & lower Rad from any road debris from entering the lower opening in the front.. & believe me it is a vulnerable area..

The "Gutter Guard" is found at Home Depot or Lowes & is really for covering house rain gutters from leaves..
Cost: maybe $5. If interested: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...er+guard+grill

& the "Search Box" is very helpful too.. FYI..

My 1st mod was getting the front windows tinted to match the rears. Then a stubby antenna (Ebay, $15). After that came the GM Turbo Upgrade, then the exhaust, visors, floormats, + door sills (visors, sills, + mats were done in 1 shot).

Later

First thing I did was remove the stop tab so the rear wiper would come away from the glass fully, and stay.

Lower grill, to protect the A/C condensor. Must have in my book.

Hitch, needed for trailer.

Fog lights

Then it got tags.....

I picked up those and never installed them. They are still in the map pocket. I got them from SoCalHHR's, so I've had them a while.
