Subtitle, "I'm going to play with my 2006 HHR and not buy a 2009."
Love my 2006 2LT, finally added untouched pics to Member's HHRs today from my 1st summer with the HHR. I promise more current pictures will come since I use the HHR as my everyday small business car, too. But back to the point, I did something dangerous on Friday--visited my original dealership to check out the 2009 2LT and compare features. That was dangerous namely because I now have the itch to modify! I can't afford the step up to 2009, of course, but I found myself scratching out a list (LONG LIST) of accessories and mods I seriously want to accomplish... I have counted 50+ little tweaks on my handwritten list so far!
I have the MOD BUG! There, I said it, and I feel better now.
Now my big question, being a longtime viewer and yet a NOOB for posting, may I legally drop the list of crazy mods I'm considering right here and get constructive criticism, or will this get me on some sort of blacklist?
My wishlist includes electronic and aesthetic changes (for both business and comfort) I have decided to pursue instead of chasing a complete 2009 upgrade. As I stated, I love my HHR from 2006 (adopted June 2006), but I've been feeling the mod fever creep up for a few months now. Any feedback is appreciated. My main goal here is to get real assessment of whether the changes I want to make are feasible or even worthwhile, and certainly I would love extra tips and pointers I may have not already found all over the site since joining in 2007.
I could post where/why/when/how I fell in love with this car in its original model year, but I DO use the Search Function on this site and could tag that stuff as a reply to other existing threads. I hope this thread is unique in that I want to show the things I would add or change on my 2006 versus trading toward a 2009 HHR. Some of the things I want to do are a merge of 2009 features, but others are definitely not OEM options or combinations. If anyone trustworthy says, "Get to the list already!" I will post the whole thing for consumption as early as tomorrow.
Oh, and by the way, "Hello, everybody!" I write too much, don't I?
