Welcome
Yep. Check the tires first.
At that mileage and age, also inspect all the front end components. Lower control arm bushings are probably worn out if they haven't ever been changed. Sway bar end links and bushings, same thing applies.
If it has the original struts, they're worn out and need replacement.
Just remember that it's a 13 year old car with a lot of miles. Things wear out. If you want a reliable road car you'll need to freshen up some parts.

Welcome - good advice on all counts for you.
We have most of those items covered in various threads here detailing diagnosing the problems, how to repair them, and part numbers and sources for the replacement parts.
So check out that front end and pop on back for more info.
Good luck with it.

I agree on every thing posted so far but it could just be worn tires. you might try moving the rears to the front and see if its any better, might not help at all but its cheap. Just check to see if you have directional tires or not or just move the same side rear to same side front.

I had a bad shaking problem for nearly two years and after replacing struts, control arms, brakes, whatever else it turned out to be a bad tire, AND the shop didnt know how to balance them. I got new tires, had them balance, still had a slight shake, made me think "oh great I guess it wasnt the tires" so I went to the shop I bought the new tires from and had the tires balanced AGAIN and I have been shake free since. For those two years I couldn't drive above 60 because the car would shake and hop VIOLENTLY. Over those two year before having the tires balance a total of six or seven times Being told "oh its this part or that part causing the shake" thats when I decided to get new tires. Also, The BAD tires were sumitomos installed by Tire Kingdom, which are both owned by the same company. They jerked me around for so long that I was actually out of the mileage range for warranty replacement, even though the issue was documented with less than 50 miles on the tires. There solution was to sell me a "deal on four Michelins but I would be required to buy their year long alignment package and there full warranty package. I told them to piss off.
Moral of the story is that just because tires have been balanced, doesn't mean they are balanced. Also, shops get butt hurt if they suggest a repair, like struts, and you do it yourself.
