Hmmm, doesn't look like any of the paint is scratched or anything. Definitely looks like someone or something pushed down directly on the antenna area

Why are you going to complain to the dealer? It's not the dealers or manufacturers fault. Something or someone either hit your antenna or pushed up or down on it. It can be repaired paintless for probably less than your deductible. I do alot of them for the local car wash. I'd charge around $150-$200 Depending on what book time is on dropping the headliner.

i have no idea how it happened. i didn't take it thru a car wash and i didn't notice it when i inspected it at the dealer before i brought it home and i am very anal about that kinda stuff.

Yikes If it wasn't there upon delivery of the vehicle though, I doubt the dealership will do anything about it.

j/k - looks like neighborhood kids climbed up there & stomped it, or accidently stepped on it while running over your HHR.

looks like vandalism to me.

good news is, it might pop out without damaging the paint.

someone grabbed it, or perhaps at some point it got caught on something while backing up.
