Front license plate bracket

I have this in the electric remote version. It works great.
I has to drill three small holes under my SS air dam. One press of the button and it is up and in place if needed.
Not sure how it would mount on a regular HHR but it works fine on the SS.
Note if I remove it the holes will only be seen by road kill.

Once last winter but I have a clear cover on it so it takes the scrape and not the plate.
I already have a Pontiac with a lower front end so it was not much of an adjustment.
Also my if I can get into my driveway I can get past 95% of most places.
You just need to watch curbs and parking stops for the most and if you have an SS you already do watch those.

A trick some of m y sports car buddies have done is to attach the plate to the bracket and then damage the bracket and mangle the plate a little. Carry it in the car and show it to the cop if your stopped and tell him it feel off and your getting a new bracket from the dealer. Has worked in the past, might not anymore but worth the try.

With the way the HHR plate is mounted most cops are not that stupid.
If anything you piss them off more for thinking they would buy into this.
Even on my flip plate if they ask I am not going to lie and be strait up with them.
I find if you honest your going to have a better chance at getting a brake. It got me out of a 70 MPH ticket in a 45 MPH zone. He asked me if I knew why I got pulled over and I said I was speeding. He let me go and just told me to slow down.

This is absolutely correct, 90% of the time. When you lie....and it's not even a good lie......and a cop recognizes it, he will "zing" you just as a lesson.
If it's a really good elaborate lie and you eventually get caught...say something really creative like, "jeez, you can't blame me for trying" and don't forget to have a $hit eating grin on your face. More people get away with this then is imaginable.
